Electro-Mobility and Energy Efficiency (M2E)

Electro-Mobility and Energy Efficiency (M2E)

The M2E research team is coordinated by Prof. M. BAKHOUYA and it is dedicated to the study of sustainable energy systems. The team mission is to address complex problems dealing with energy and the environment. This is done through innovative research and development to improve and optimize diverse energy systems. The team projects range across applied and fundamental research. It includes modelling, design, optimization prototyping, measurement, materials, engineering, and testing. The M2E research and development activities cover a board range of topics, which include, among other, the following:

  • Renewable energy technologies
  • Green and Sustainable energy
  • Thermal energy
  • Energy storage
  • Smart and micro-grid systems
  • Biomass and waste management
  • Energy efficiency in buildings
  • Electromobility, V2G and G2V
  • AI, IoT and control of complex systems
