Mounia MALKI is a professor at the School of Aerospace and Automotive Engineering at the International University of Rabat. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the International University of Rabat (UIR) and subsequently completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Aerospace Engineering at Mississippi State University (MSU, USA) in 2017. During her Master's thesis, Dr. MALKI focused on the study of fracture and fatigue of aluminum alloys and validated the Two-Parameter Fracture Criterion for various grades of aluminum alloys used in the aerospace industry.

Dr. MALKI also holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University (MSU, USA), obtained in 2020, where she gained expertise in multiphysics, multiscale modeling of materials. Her doctoral research involved developing a macroscale model using the Internal State Variable theory, capturing the mechanical and magnetic behavior of permanent magnets used in electric vehicles.
Mounia was recognized as the youngest holder of an engineering Ph.D. in Morocco for the year 2020. She also conducted research at Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, New Mexico (LANL, USA), studying the creep behavior of different grades of stainless steel using the VPSC crystal plasticity code. Mounia Malki oversees scientific operations in materials, structures, and processes at the LERMA laboratory. She has published and participated in several international scientific journals and conferences. Later, she joined the International University of Rabat as one of the professors at the School of Aerospace and Automotive Engineering, continuing her research in the same fields.
