Graduating with a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech marks a pivotal achievement in my academic and professional journey. This accomplishment follows years of dedication and a passion for aerospace engineering, which began during my undergraduate studies at the International University of Rabat (UIR). At UIR, I built a strong foundation through rigorous coursework and hands-on projects, benefiting from a dynamic environment and esteemed professors.
Pursuing a Master’s degree at Georgia Tech, a leading institution in aerospace engineering, was a dream come true. Here, I engaged in advanced research and groundbreaking projects, such as the M.A.D.R.E project sponsored by the Air Force, where my team developed an integrated MBSE and MDAO framework for a Tactical Transport Mobility vehicle.
Specializing in fluid dynamics, propulsion systems, and space systems engineering, I collaborated with brilliant minds, presented my research at international conferences, and expanded my professional network. Graduating from Georgia Tech is a testament to the support from my family, mentors, and peers, marking the fulfillment of a journey that began at UIR.
With this degree, I am prepared to contribute to aerospace technology’s advancement and pursue a career aligned with my passion for innovation and exploration. I am excited about the opportunities ahead and eager to apply my knowledge and experiences in my professional endeavors. » Yassine El Mahdaoui

Choosing to do the exchange semester was one of the best choices I made. From my native country Togo to Morocco, then from Morocco to Belgium, I was able to see the world from a completely different point of view. I arrived once again in a place where nobody knew me, and because of that, everyone wanted to know how I was, where I am from, and how it is. In fact, I can also understand a part of myself that I didn't know, because I was confronted with all this experience without a past in this place.
Doing the exchange isn’t only for studying or learning new language purposes, but also to try and get out of the comfort zone. Learning another culture is so important to open your mind and understand where you belong, and maybe open more opportunities in different fields. During my exchange at the VUB, I had the opportunity to experience different ways of teaching and examining. But also, it allowed me to expand my network of acquaintances and to visit different places across EU countries. If anyone is lucky enough to experience this, that person must go, with no worries about being far from home because another home is waiting for you.
