Mr. Abdelwahed BARKAOUI is an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering/Biomechanics at the International University of Rabat. Currently serving as the head of the Department of Mechanics and Advanced Materials, coordinator of the Living Mechanics MeV research team at the LERMA laboratory, and discipline lead in the School of Energy, his research primarily focuses on issues in biomechanics, mechanobiology, and biomedical engineering.

He is a member of the editorial board for several international scientific journals and serves as a reviewer for various well-known international journals in the fields of biomechanics and mechanical engineering. Additionally, he is the author of three books: "Bone Remodeling Process" (Elsevier), "Finite Element Method and Medical Imaging Techniques in Bone Biomechanics" (Wiley), and "FEM Analysis of the Human Knee Joint: A Review" (Springer), in addition to over 50 publications in specialized journals.
