Presentation of the School

The UIR Higher School of Energy Engineering (ECINE) is fully committed to promoting and supporting the development of the energy sector, with particular attention focused on the renewable energies in Morocco. Its imperative is to proactively respond to urgent market needs by training highly specialized and efficient engineers, thus anticipating the complex and constantly evolving challenges of this strategic area.
At the heart of ECINE's educational offering are two distinct programs:
The first is an Engineering program, and designed to train high-level general engineers, emphasizes in-depth energy expertise. The second is a Master's path, and opens the way to obtaining a Master's degree specialized in Hydrogen Engineering. Graduates of these programs stand out for their multidisciplinary skills in energy, skillfully combining scientific knowledge and managerial skills, while embodying rigorous ethics and a spirit of innovation.
The Higher School of Energy Engineering offers distinctive training in Morocco, the result of a fusion between the excellence of the programs of the University of Lorraine (France) and the expertise of the teaching and research teams - development (R&D) of the UIR, both enjoying international recognition. Structured over 5 years of study, the Engineering program entitled Energy and Renewable Energy (EER) includes a 2-year cycle of Preparatory Classes followed by a 3-year specialization Engineering Cycle. This route harmonizes theoretical and practical approaches in a balanced manner, thus shaping professional profiles with exceptional versatility in technology and management skills. Throughout the Engineering cycle, our students build a solid scientific culture enriched by general training (languages, communication, programing, management, etc.), thus providing a versatile profile. This holistic approach allows them to master various aspects of engineering projects starting from the study and design to the implementation or management of complex energy systems.
The Hydrogen Science Master's program focuses carefully on acquiring knowledge and skills essential to hydrogen production, storage and applications.
The dynamic pedagogy of the Higher School of Energy Engineering trains EER engineers and hydrogen Master students capable of designing relevant solutions specifically adapted to the varied energy needs of sectors such as industry, construction, transport, and agriculture, among others. By training visionaries and leaders, ECINE actively contributes to shaping the sustainable future of Morocco and beyond.
