"My mobility experience at the University of Lorraine was more than exciting, it marked a turning point in both my student and personal life. It all started in the 4th year, when I was accepted for an exchange semester at ENSEM in Nancy. This had been a long-standing goal since I joined ECINE, and I was thrilled to achieve it. However, leaving my home caused some apprehension. As an only child, my first prolonged absence was going to be difficult for my parents, and for me, it was the first time that I would live alone abroad. My parents encouraged me, seeing this experience as a unique opportunity to grow, learn, and gain valuable life experience. Finally, I decided to take this chance, well aware that my life would change and that I would no longer be the same person. Once there, my adventure as an international student began. Quickly, my perspectives evolved. I realized that the exchange was not just a semester in my life, but an entire life concentrated in one semester. Contrary to popular belief, it is motivated students who create their own opportunities and stories. One of the most striking dimensions of my stay was the academic rigor and innovation at ENSEM Nancy. The institution's commitment to cutting-edge research and hands-on learning was palpable in every course. I had the opportunity to work in advanced research laboratories, equipped with cutting-edge technologies. Although assimilating new concepts was difficult, these challenges opened me to new and enriching perspectives. I transformed these obstacles into assets for my personal development, thus deepening my knowledge. At the end of my exchange semester, I had the joy of learning that I had been selected for a double degree at the University of Lorraine, thanks to a bilateral agreement with the ECINE and the FST of Nancy. There were 10 of us students who benefited from this privilege, the fruit of our efforts and our desire to surpass ourselves. My commitment to this new adventure was immediate, building on my previous experience. The fear of the unknown had disappeared and I had become accustomed to the system of a French engineering school, which facilitated my integration and improved my reactivity to the courses offered. Apart from studies, Nancy is a magnificent city, rich in history. I had the chance to wander its cobblestone streets, admire its historic monuments, and immerse myself in its vibrant local culture. The internationality of the Nancy community offered me an exceptional opportunity to perfect my language skills and adopt a global vision. I had the opportunity to engage with people from diverse backgrounds, each sharing their own stories and experiences. This particularly enriching environment pushed me to appreciate diversity and learn from others."
