VISA REQUIREMENTS

For information on visa requirements, please visit the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Kingdom of Morocco.
Citizens of several nationalities can enter Morocco without a visa. Check the list of nationalities exempted from an entry visa on this web page.
If your country is on the list of exempted nationalities, please note that you will receive a tourist visa valid for 90 days upon entering Morocco. Before the visa expires, you will need to request an extension from the local authorities.
If your country is not on the list of exempted nationalities, you will need to obtain a visa before arriving in Morocco. Please inform UIR International Relations Office, and they will issue your visa support letter as soon as possible.

FINDING ACCOMMODATION

You have three options for finding accommodation during your exchange program at UIR:
Living on Campus: You can stay in one of the six UIR dormitories. Once you complete your application, UIR International Relations Office will provide you the necessary username and password to book your room.
Living with a Host Family: You can experience living with a Moroccan family through our partner Homestay in Morocco.
Living in Rabat Downtown: If you prefer to rent your own flat in Rabat downtown, you can find accommodation offers in Facebook renting/flat sharing groups or on accommodation/renting websites, or Airbnb in Rabat.

UIR International Relations Office advises you to:
  • Never pay or give any deposit before visiting the flat you want to rent.
  • Ask for a receipt for any payments or transactions you may make.
  • Ensure that the landlord is willing to provide you with a proper rental contract.
