It is with great pleasure that we hosted Prof. Joseph NGUEPI, President, and Dr. Hervey KEMFANG, General Coordinator, at our institution for a momentous occasion—the signing of a partnership agreement with our esteemed College of Engineering. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our pursuit of fruitful international partnerships.
 
The agreement solidifies our commitment to fostering academic and research exchange between our institutions, opening doors to exciting opportunities for knowledge sharing, joint projects, and cultural understanding.

We were absolutely thrilled to have welcomed a wonderful group of Japanese students to Morocco for a cultural immersion like no other.
 
They got ready for an unforgettable journey filled with vibrant experiences and enriching exchanges. From exploring the enchanting streets of Rabat, Casablanca, Assilah, Tangier & Chefchaouen to savoring the flavors of Moroccan cuisine, our program was designed to immerse them in the beauty and diversity of our country
 








EAIE Rotterdam

UIR has participated in the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference and Exhibition, one of the largest gatherings in the global higher education community. UIR is being proudly represented by its Department for International Relations at this prestigious event.
 
At EAIE, we have set up a dedicated booth to showcase our institution, its values, and its commitment to fostering international collaboration in education. Our presence at this event signifies our strong dedication to building meaningful connections with universities from all corners of the world.
 




INTERNATIONAL STAFF WEEK

UIR has participated in the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference and Exhibition, one of the largest gatherings in the global higher education community. UIR is being proudly represented by its Department for International Relations at this prestigious event.
 
This event gathered 21 representatives from 9 international partner universities to discuss internationalization structures and strategies, as well as explore new ways to strengthen existing collaborations and networks in a sustainable and strategic way.
 
The Staff Week consisted of a rich variety of workshops and seminars animated by UIR colleagues and partners and focused on the following topics:


  • Morocco at the Crossroads of Civilizations & Tolerance: Our Common Euro-Med History & Heritage 
  • Inclusion Practices & Visions
  • Soft Skills & Digital Mindset in the Post Pandemic Age
  • The Role of Digital Technologies or EdTech in harnessing eLearning in the Virtual Age
 
Alongside the interactive working sessions, the Department of International Relations & Partnerships provided our guests with cultural immersion, through a guided visit of Rabat, a Moroccan pottery workshop and over lunch with a solidarity couscous at CIAT.
 
We would like to thank all the UIR staff and professors who contributed to the organization of this event, creating the perfect environment to promote a fruitful exchange of ideas, the development of new partnerships and the promotion UIR at the international level.


UIR SPRING 2023 ORIENTATION DAY

In February 2023, Université Internationale de Rabat organized an orientation session for its international students who come from a variety of countries such as Spain, Australia, France, Italy, Belgium, and Ireland. These students are here on a semester exchange program, which allows them to study subjects related to Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and North African Studies, as well as Architecture and Political Science.
 
Studying abroad is a unique experience that can broaden one's horizons and provide valuable learning opportunities. By studying in a new environment, students can gain a deeper understanding of different cultures, meet new people, and enhance their academic and personal skills. The Université Internationale de Rabat is renowned for its excellent academic programs, and it is wonderful to see that the incoming exchange students are benefiting from the University's commitment to providing a high-quality education.
 


ICESCO VISIT

The International Relations & Partnerships department is dedicated to providing exchange students with a wide range of cultural activities to enrich their experience while studying abroad. As part of this initiative, the department recently organized an exciting afternoon visit to ICESCO for the exchange students.
 
During the visit, the exchange students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture of Morocco by exploring the various exhibits and activities offered at ICESCO. This cultural institution is renowned for promoting cultural dialogue and understanding between different nations and cultures, making it a perfect destination for exchange students looking to learn more about the region they are studying in.
 


NOVA UNIVERSITY VISIT

Last February, Université Internationale de Rabat had the honor of hosting Mr. João Amaro de Matos, the Vice President of Nova University, one of UIR's EUTOPIA partners. The meeting between the two institutions was centered on identifying potential opportunities for collaboration within the Bilateral and Erasmus+ program frameworks.
 
During the meeting, representatives from both institutions engaged in a productive and meaningful discussion. They explored various avenues for collaboration, including joint research projects, exchange programs, and student and faculty mobility initiatives. The exchange of ideas and perspectives during this meeting was a testament to the strong relationship between the two institutions and their shared commitment to providing high-quality education to students around the world.
 
As a member of the EUTOPIA alliance, UIR is dedicated to fostering strong partnerships with other leading universities across Europe. Collaborating with institutions such as Nova University allows UIR to expand its global network and offer students a diverse range of academic opportunities. This meeting was an important step towards establishing a lasting partnership between the two institutions and creating new avenues for collaboration in the future.
