Ready to welcome its first delegations, the African Games Village welcomed its first athletes with the South African National Olympic Committee on Tuesday 13 August 2019.
Furthermore, in order to also welcome the athletes of the delegation of the Kingdom of Morocco, dorm 1 called "Morocco Team House", has been fitted out for the Moroccan athletes. UIR and COJAR teams also held their first coordination meeting which marks the kick-off of the operational phase.
