The Student Life Department (Direction de la Vie Etudiante - DVE) is committed to providing the UIR student community with extracurricular opportunities that develop a system of good values, a sense of commitment, belonging and citizenship as well as interpersonal, physical and cross-cutting skills. The Department monitors students’ progress throughout their academic career up to their professional integration and contribution as a graduate. . 

Since its creation in August 2016, the DVE has constantly evolved and expanded to include new services and responsibilities in order to ensure overall coherence in the management of all aspects of student life and development.
